LEARN, DIVE, PROTECT!

BECOME PART OF THE SOLUTION!

Scuba diving orientated conservation projects are in some of the most wonderful places on this planet. You not only get involved in the local life, but also take part in data collection and identification diving. Which in turn makes a great impact in our world’s oceans. You will also meet like-minded people that will become such great friends for life. Would like the opportunity to go to remote places and see how reef health is fluctuating and being impacted in the marine ecosystem? If that is a yes and you can compromise to make important positive impacts in our oceans a marine conservation internship is perfect for you.

 EXPEDITION IN MEXICO

Our marine conservation expedition will take you to the aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea, complete with pristine white beaches and tales of lost treasure. Put your advanced diving skills to the test while working on and monitoring the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world.

The project will see you sharing accommodation with novice divers and other volunteers. However your team will consist of fellow advanced divers, who you will be working with on vital conservation surveys such as directly monitoring the overall health of the reef. All the information gathered will go to local partners and play a vital role in sustainability plans for the reefs fragile eco-system.  Building on your advanced diving skills, you can look forward to gaining in-depth knowledge on species identification, coral reef and fish monitoring as well as once in a lifetime experiences such as swimming with the endangered Hawksbill sea turtle.

INDIAN OCEAN MARINE CONSERVATION AND PADI DIVEMASTER INTERNSHIP

This internship begins in the Seychelles marine conservation expedition base where for 12 weeks you will advance your scuba diving skills amongst the incredible coral reefs, undertaking intensive training and developing an impressive knowledge of the underwater environment, putting this knowledge into practise as you undertake research of the reef system.

All internships are geared at developing your leadership and role model skills, allowing you to develop a variety of key soft and hard skills that will put you a step ahead the rest of the pack.

MARINE CONSERVATION EXPEDITION IN FIJI

Travel to the clear blue waters of the South Pacific Ocean, learn or improve your diving in one of the world’s most beautiful tropical countries and discover an incredible underwater environment.

Join an international team of volunteers on this marine conservation expedition which focuses on the collection of important marine inventory data from underwater research dives. This research is then made available to local communities and organisations to help better inform management decision making. The project is geared at providing long term benefits to the local communities through strategies designed to help guarantee food security for future generations.

Great Journeys. Fascinating Places.
